New Phone System

RITA will be replacing its current phone system with a new phone system adding features to better serve our taxpayers.

Transferring to the new phone system is scheduled for Thursday, January 18th starting at 5:15 pm. 
There may be interruptions in service for a few hours while the upgrades are taking place.

RITA’s new system will be able to assist callers by providing enhanced self-service features!  Our new system now offers the following enhancements:

  • Automated speech recognition so that callers can press telephone keys or make their choices using their voice.
  • Tax Preparer shortcut menu allowing access to multiple accounts without needing to log in and out multiple times.
  • Check real time account balance.
  • Check payment history and estimated payments including pending payments.
  • Check refund status and whether or not the IRS has levied a portion of the refund.
  • Make payments by credit card (Individual Accounts only) or ACH for all account types.
  • Request a payment plan.
  • Request tax forms.
