The court costs were paid by the municipality when the complaint was filed. The court costs must be collected from you regardless if you attend the hearing.

If the balance is paid in full before the hearing, the case will be dismissed. If you cannot pay in full, you can set up a payment plan. If a payment plan is set up, a judgment will be requested.

A judgment is a final determination by the court that the money requested in the complaint is a valid debt. The judgment gives the municipality the right to garnish wages, attach bank accounts or file liens against your property if you refuse to pay the debt.

Once a judgment is obtained and our collections efforts are exhausted, the account will be turned over to our collection agency, Reimer Law Co. They can be reached at 216.367.7744.

The municipality will file a satisfaction of judgment with the court. The satisfaction is the document that indicates to the court that the debt has been paid in full.
