Administrative Subpoena for Records

You have received an Administrative Subpoena because RITA does not have record of a municipal income tax filing from you for the tax year(s) listed on the Subpoena; and RITA did not receive a response from you to the Non-Filing Income Tax Notice that was sent to you before the Subpoena was issued.

Action Required

You must respond to the Subpoena by filing with RITA the requested returns or exemptions by the due date on the Subpoena.

Income Tax Returns and Exemptions

File your income tax returns and exemptions electronically using MyAccount or FastFile.

Additional Documents

If responding to RITA prior to your appearance date, all documents must be sent in one of the following ways:

Uploading Requested Documents

  • Log in to MyAccount and go to the Document Upload link. MyAccount users can upload documents to RITA with or without an Upload Code (provided to you in the letter you received from RITA or from a RITA Agent) and can view a history of uploaded documents.
  • Use Document Upload (no log in required). Users without MyAccount, or tax professionals on behalf of their clients, will use RITA’s standalone Document Upload tool. To use this option, users must have a valid Upload Code provided to you in the letter you received from RITA.
